Frerejean Frères Cuvée des Hussards Brut 2012
Description
Description
The house of Frerejean Frères was founded in 2005 in Avize, a Champagne village classified as Grand Cru. It is only 10 hectares in size and strives to preserve and respect the unique terroir. It is important to the Frerejean-Taittinger brothers that traditional methods of Champagne production are respected, but that there is also room for innovation. Named after Napoleon Bonaparte's Light Cavalry, which consisted of Hussars, this cuvée is powerful and expressive. The grapes for this champagne come from over 40-year-old vines from Premier and Grand Cru sites. 2012 is considered the benchmark vintage of the last decade.
