Description

Italy / Tuscany

The Brancaia winery stands for a clear Tuscan signature with international elegance: The grapes for this assemblage come from the three sites of Castellina in Chianti, Radda in Chianti, and Maremma. The XMAS Edition presents this structure in a festive guise: In the glass, a deep ruby red appears, accompanied by ripe red and dark berries – cherries, plums, blackberries – as well as fine spices such as cinnamon, licorice, and dark chocolate. On the palate, it is juicy and balanced with velvety, well-integrated tannins and a lively acidity that gives the wine excellent length and drinkability.

Brancaia

Brancaia, with roots in the heart of Chianti Classico, is now one of Tuscany’s most modern and style-defining estates. Terroir of limestone, galestro and clay, together with a warm yet balanced climate, creates ideal conditions for Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The wines combine Tuscan finesse with an international style: clear fruit, dense structure, precise acidity and elegant spice. Iconic cuvées such as Il Blu and Ilatraia stand for concentration, balance and impressive ageing potential, while the Chianti wines authentically reflect their origin. Brancaia consistently focuses on sustainable farming and careful vinification – establishing itself as a firm name in the premium segment.

Origin in Focus

Tuscany

Tuscany is one of Italy’s defining wine regions, known for Sangiovese and iconic appellations such as Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. The Mediterranean climate with sea breezes and diverse soils produces elegant, fresh wines with structure. On the coast, ‘Super Tuscans’ are also made from Cabernet, Merlot and other varieties. In addition to red wines, the region offers characterful whites such as Vernaccia di San Gimignano and Vermentino, as well as the traditional dessert wine Vin Santo. The result: tradition meets innovation – with clear terroir expression and great drinking pleasure.
