Description

Italy / Tuscany / Bolgheri

Tenuta Guado al Tasso is located in the small Tuscan growing region of Bolgheri on the coast of northern Maremma. The vineyards are situated in the "Bolgheri amphitheater," a picturesque plain surrounded by hills. Close to the sea, the climate here is mild. Constant breezes temper the summer heat, ensure clear skies, and thus optimal sun exposure. During each harvest, the individual vineyard plots are divided into many small picking sections. In each picking round, only optimally ripe, high-quality grapes are harvested. Afterward, each plot is vinified separately in the cellar. Thanks to meticulous hand-picking and gentle cellar techniques, wines of the highest quality are produced.

Origin in Focus

Tuscany

Tuscany is one of Italy’s defining wine regions, known for Sangiovese and iconic appellations such as Chianti Classico, Brunello di Montalcino and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. The Mediterranean climate with sea breezes and diverse soils produces elegant, fresh wines with structure. On the coast, ‘Super Tuscans’ are also made from Cabernet, Merlot and other varieties. In addition to red wines, the region offers characterful whites such as Vernaccia di San Gimignano and Vermentino, as well as the traditional dessert wine Vin Santo. The result: tradition meets innovation – with clear terroir expression and great drinking pleasure.
