Diversity and millennia-old tradition
Italy is not only one of the oldest wine countries in the world, but also one of the most diverse. From the alpine north to the hot south, from the Mediterranean coasts to the heights of the Apennines – hardly any other country offers such a range of grape varieties, climate zones and wine styles. With over 20 wine-growing regions, more than 400 indigenous grape varieties and a deeply rooted culture of enjoyment, Italy is one of the most important wine producers worldwide.

Wines from the Winemaker – An Expression of Pure Chardonnay Elegance
The white wines from Champagne Taittinger are the foundation of many iconic cuvées. The famous Taittinger Comtes de Champagne Blanc de Blancs is produced exclusively from Chardonnay grapes from the Grand Cru vineyards of the Côte des Blancs.
This is where champagnes with fascinating clarity, fine perlage, and creamy texture are created. Aging on fine lees gives them depth and complexity, while freshness and precision are maintained.
From Brut Réserve to Prestige Rosé, every Taittinger champagne represents the perfect balance between French craftsmanship, lightness, and luxurious enjoyment.
About the Winery – Tradition and Innovation in the Heart of Champagne
Founded in 1734 in Reims, Taittinger is one of the last major family-owned Champagne houses today. Under the leadership of Pierre-Emmanuel Taittinger and his daughter Vitalie Taittinger, the house has preserved its independent character and is committed to uncompromising quality.
The family maintains close relationships with over 200 winegrowers in the region and owns extensive vineyards in the best crus of Champagne. This network makes it possible to precisely compose each cuvée and preserve the unmistakable Taittinger style: fine, elegant, timeless.
Terroir and Vineyards – The Heart of French Winemaking
Champagne Taittinger's vineyards span the Côte des Blancs, the Montagne de Reims, and the Vallée de la Marne – three regions that perfectly reflect the diversity of Champagne.
- Chalk soils of the Côte des Blancs give the wines a mineral freshness.
- Limestone and clay of the Montagne de Reims provide structure and power.
- The milder climate in the Vallée de la Marne ensures harmonious fruit aromas.
This combination of soils and microclimates forms the basis for Champagnes that are equally fresh, complex, and finely sparkling – true ambassadors of French wine culture.
