Pétrus is one of the most legendary icons from Pomerol (Right Bank, Bordeaux), representing uncompromising quality, extreme rarity, and exceptional aging potential. The wine is Merlot-dominant and comes from a small, highly privileged terroir known for its clay soils – this ensures immense density, velvety power, and precise structure all at once.

In the glass, Pétrus often displays dark berries, plum, truffle, fine spice, and a profound, almost "layered" texture. When young, it can appear impressively concentrated, becoming significantly more complex with some aeration.
