    The wines of Château Palmer

The Grand Vin of Château Palmer is one of Bordeaux's great red wines and is regarded as one of the finest interpretations of the Margaux appellation. Typical aromas include black cherry, cassis, blackberry, violet and rose petals, complemented by cedar, spices, graphite and fine smoky nuances. With age, hints of truffle, leather and forest floor emerge.

A defining feature is the combination of aromatic depth and silky texture. The wines possess concentration and ageing potential but rarely appear austere or closed. Instead, they often reveal their unmistakable charm relatively early.

Alongside the Grand Vin, Château Palmer produces “Alter Ego de Palmer”, an excellent second wine conceived as an independent interpretation of the terroir rather than merely a selection from younger vines.
