The wine village of Terlano is situated roughly halfway between Merano and Bolzano. The village and its vineyards cling to the steep red porphyry rocks of the Tschöggelberg on the left bank of the Adige. White grape varieties grow on mountain slopes rising to 900 metres above sea level. This terroir, with its own unmistakable character, is shaped by volcanic soils and a very particular microclimate.
