The wines of Château La Clotte

The Grand Vin of Château La Clotte combines the typical fruit concentration and depth of Bordeaux's Right Bank (rive droite) with remarkable precision and freshness.

Typical aromas include black cherry, plum, blackberry, violet, spices and fine mineral notes. With age, additional nuances of truffle, tobacco and cedar emerge. The balance between power and elegance is consistently impressive. Despite their density, the wines never feel heavy, retaining clear structure and lively acidity.

Limited production makes Château La Clotte a comparatively rare Bordeaux. At the same time, its close connection to the philosophy and quality standards of Château Ausone ensures that the wines regularly attract major attention from collectors and critics. Château La Clotte is now firmly among Saint-Émilion's most interesting insider recommendations.
