Champagne Ruinart
Italy – A wine country with soul, diversity, and millennia-old tradition
Diversity and millennia-old tradition
Italy is not only one of the oldest wine countries in the world, but also one of the most diverse. From the alpine north to the hot south, from the Mediterranean coasts to the heights of the Apennines – hardly any other country offers such a range of grape varieties, climate zones and wine styles. With over 20 wine-growing regions, more than 400 indigenous grape varieties and a deeply rooted culture of enjoyment, Italy is one of the most important wine producers worldwide.

White Wines of Champagne Ruinart
The pride of the house is the legendary Ruinart Blanc de Blancs. This Champagne demonstrates the full skill of the cellar masters: expressive, silky, and full of freshness. The grapes come from Premier Cru vineyards in the Côte des Blancs, whose chalky soils give the wine its distinctive minerality.
Fermented in stainless steel tanks and then aged for a long time on the lees, the Blanc de Blancs presents with delicate notes of white flowers, apricot, and brioche. This style is exemplary of the house's philosophy: purity and tension in perfect balance.
Tip: Ruinart Brut is the ideal introduction to the world of French Champagnes – delicately fruity, precise, and of exceptional harmony.
About Ruinart Winery
The Ruinart winery is considered the oldest champagne house in France. Founded in 1729 by Nicolas Ruinart, a success story began here that continues to set standards to this day. Inspired by his uncle, the Benedictine monk Dom Thierry Ruinart, Nicolas recognized the potential of the fine, sparkling wines from Champagne early on.
Already in the 18th century, Champagne Ruinart was highly esteemed at the great European courts – from Paris to Vienna. Today, the house belongs to the LVMH Group but remains true to its traditional craftsmanship. Every bottle stands for elegance, timelessness, and the quintessence of French art de vivre.
Terroir and Vineyards
The Champagne Ruinart vineyards are located in the most renowned communes of the Côte des Blancs, the Montagne de Reims, and the Vallée de la Marne.
- Soils: predominantly chalk and limestone – they store heat and promote root development.
- Climate: cool temperatures and gentle hills create a unique microclimate that preserves acidity and freshness.
- Sites: Premier and Grand Cru parcels yield grapes of the highest quality, forming the basis for the wines' balance and longevity.
These geological and climatic conditions make Ruinart's French wines so distinctive – elegant, mineral, and with an unmistakable expression of the terroir.
