Neal Martin for Robert Parker
The 2014 Ducru-Beaucaillou has a very deep garnet color and in the glass displays lively aromas of fresh blackcurrants, black cherries and black raspberries with hints of spice, licorice, fragrant earth and lavender. On the palate it is medium-bodied and bursting with lively, crisp black fruit, supported by ripe, grainy tannins and finishing on a lingering, spicy note.
