"The 2018 Vie di Romans Dessimis has a straw yellow color, with copper and gold reflections. The complex bouquet unfolds fruity notes of mirabelle plum, mango and peach followed by aromas of violets, almonds and herbs. On the palate, this characterful, fruity Pinot Gris shows soft tannins supported by a fine freshness. The long finish is accompanied by aromas of vanilla, lemon biscuit, roasted almonds and nutmeg."

Vie di Romans is an outstanding winery in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region of north-eastern Italy. The winery has earned a reputation for producing exquisite wines that reflect the unique terroirs of this region.

The Gallo family has been closely linked to winemaking for over 100 years. Gianfranco, who has managed the family winery since 1978, has established himself as a grand master of white wines from Friuli.

Gianfranco Gallo produces exclusively single-vineyard wines with extremely high quality standards. His wines are among the absolute best. 

The Vie di Romans vineyards extend over about 55 hectares and are located in the hills of Mariano del Friuli, near the Slovenian border. The soils here are composed of calcareous clay and are particularly suitable for the cultivation of grape varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio, Merlot and Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso.
