Dark red, almost violet in the glass, the 2017 Les Trois Sources offers an opulent and fine bouquet. Spicy notes mix with aromas of ripe plums, black cherries and acacia and violet blossoms. This wine is also fine and lush on the palate. The wonderful fruit aromas are now accompanied by earthy and chocolate notes and a salty minerality. A wonderfully balanced, harmonious, great wine.

On the northern border of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, on the heights of the single vineyard "lieu-dit Clavin", the Domaine de la Vieille Julienne was built in the 17th century and is now considered one of the leading wineries in the region. The domaine is owned by Jean Paul Daumen, who took over the business from his father. It was he who brought biodynamics in its purest form to the winery.

The vines for the very rare top Côtes du Rhône are on average 85 years old.On the heights of the "lieu-dit Clavin", sand and red clay cover the soil and provide vines that produce highly concentrated wines, more comparable to a fresh Châteauneuf-du-Pape than to a Côtes du Rhône.

The domaine's vineyards extend over approximately 15 hectares and are planted with the region's traditional grape varieties such as Grenache, Syrah and Mouvedére.
